KNOW JESUS

You were created for a relationship with God.

No matter where you are in your faith journey, Jesus is inviting you to know Him personally. The most important decision you will ever make is to put your faith in Jesus, receive His forgiveness, and begin a new life with Him.

What does it mean to know Jesus?

Forgiveness

Jesus offers forgiveness for your past, not because you earned it, but because of what He has done for you.

New Life

Following Jesus means your life has a new beginning, a new purpose, and a new direction.

Relationship

God does not want you to simply practice religion. He wants you to walk with Him, know Him, and follow Him daily.

Relationship

God does not want you to simply practice religion. He wants you to walk with Him, know Him, and follow Him daily.

The good news is simple.

The Bible tells one big story: God loves us, sin separates us, Jesus rescues us, and we are invited to respond by faith.

1. God created you to know Him.

You were made on purpose and for a purpose. God created you to live in relationship with Him.

2. Sin separates us from God.

All of us have sinned. Sin breaks our relationship with God and leaves us unable to fix ourselves on our own.

3. Jesus came to rescue us.

Jesus, the Son of God, lived the life we could not live, died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. Through Him, forgiveness and new life are available.

4. You can respond by faith.

You receive Jesus by turning from sin, trusting Him, and confessing Him as Lord. This is the beginning of a new life with God.
Ephesians 2:8–9:
8 For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift— 9 not from works, so that no one can boast.
Romans 10:9–10:
9 If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.
2 Corinthians 5:17:
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!

Ready to say yes to Jesus?

You can talk to God right now. The words themselves are not magic. What matters is a sincere heart that is turning to Jesus, trusting Him, and receiving the grace He freely gives.
Simply recite this prayer:

"Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God.

I believe You died for my sin and rose again.

I turn from my sin and trust You as my Savior and Lord.

Thank You for forgiving me and giving me new life.

Help me follow You from this day forward.

Amen."

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Tell someone.

Begin reading the Bible.

Pray honestly.

Go public through baptism.

Let us know about your decision so we can encourage you and help you grow.
A great place to start is the Gospel of John. Read a little each day and ask God to help you know Him more.
Prayer is simply talking with God. You can thank Him, ask for help, and bring your questions to Him.
Baptism is the outward expression of the inward change Jesus has made in your life.

Questions are welcome.

Do I have to understand everything before I follow Jesus?
No. Following Jesus begins with trust. You do not need to have every question answered before you take a step of faith. God will continue to teach you as you follow Him.
What if I have made mistakes?
That is exactly why Jesus came. The grace of God is not for perfect people. Jesus offers forgiveness, healing, and a new beginning.
What if I prayed a prayer before, but I have been far from God?
You can come home. God is not finished with you. Today can be a fresh start as you turn back to Jesus and begin following Him again.
Why should I tell someone about my decision?
Because you were not meant to follow Jesus alone. Telling someone allows us to encourage you, pray with you, and help you take your next step.
What is my next step after knowing Jesus?
Baptism. Baptism is a public declaration that Jesus has changed your life. That is why the next step in this pathway is “Go Public.”
