Turning Point started in February 2009 with just 6 people in a conference room at the local airport in Wayne County. In just 4 weeks, Turning Point began meeting in the local college auditorium. Over the next 11 months the church would grow from 6 to an average attendance of 60 people. During that time the church purchased 5 acres of land on South Palm Street. By God's grace and favor, we paid for the land debt free, and was able to construct and build the 8,000 sq ft worship space debt free after receiving a $450,000 donation. Just 18 months later we would embark on constructing an additional 5,000 sq ft for our children to worship and be discipled. Then due to continued growth we construct the Youth Center to provide space on Wednesdays for middle and high school students to have their very own dynamic worship service. Most recently we remodeled the main auditorium to increase the seating capacity to over 500+ seats as well as expanding and connecting the main auditorium and children's center to allow more space for discipleship, connection, and children's space.
